Partnering with Japanese press manufacturer Komori, we have recently installed a brand new H-UV lithographic press. Already a strong presence in Asia and Europe, this is only the seventh Komori of its type to be installed within the UK and is the only press offering capabilities to this extent in the South West. The Komori S-29 H-UV secures a greener approach, using less than half the energy of the previous press. It has also enabled us to work with an increased number of substrates and finishes, which has allowed us to branch out into other areas including packaging. However, perhaps the main feature is that of the H-UV element which instantly dries the printed sheet with light drying technology so that the ink is cured and set before reaching the end of the press. A huge advantage.
